and连接的是两个动词,如果and要连接两个句子必须打逗号.

sat 和前面的谓语动词found并列。意思是：“我们发现来到一个令人愉快的公园，有树木遮荫，就坐下吃午饭了。”，所以found和sat都是we发出的动作。
如果选sitting就是和providing 并列，那么trees发出sitting的动作是讲不通的。
